Students practice of Pastor-chaplaincy leadership program

Upon completion of the theoretical training, with a view to learning the basic provisions of the hospital chaplaincy, the students of the Kiev Theological Seminary Pastor-chaplaincy leadership program underwent clinical – chaplain practice in Cherkasy Central Hospital. Teachers of hospital chaplaincy Nicholay Dudko (retired lieutenant colonel, a senior hospital chaplain, 9 years of practical ministry) shared experience Cherkassy chaplains features spiritual and moral support to patients and medical staff. Particular attention was drawn to work with children – orphans who were under treatment in the pediatric ward. Zoe Kelembet that runs a chaplain in the Cherkassy branch of “All-Ukrainian Network” held a session with the students on the specifics and importance of HIV and tuberculosis. Chief physician Nicholay Guskov, met with students, spoke about the reform of the Ministry of Health and the positive impact of this work. And also thanked the chaplains for their cooperation, and urged the students to those developed similar work in their regions of the country.
